Vase Ruffled
One of a kind antique vase, or trash?
When we cleaned out my great-uncles house last year (he was a hoarder of antiques) we found some vases and other antiques we liked so we took them back with us. Among those items was a vase. I don’t know antiques well, so ill do my very best to describe it. It is an Aqua Blue color. The top of the vase has a Ruffled Edge, that is higher at one end than the other. It is 19 inches tall. I have found smaller versions of this vase (6-15 inches.) They went for various prices (690-2500) I want to know if this could be a million dollar vase, or if it was bought at a dollar store five years ago. Thanks in advance!
We couldn’t possible say without pictures and some pretty good pictures at that, since you say you have found similar ones on line at pretty good prices. Take several from various angles in good light and upload to flickr (same password as Yahoo) and link to the question. You don’t actually even say if it is glass or ceramic.
And even then you may have to go to an appraiser
